Comprehensive solutions for groups funded by the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)
Community Service Block Grant
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federal program in the United States that provides funding to alleviate poverty and help low-income individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency. It’s administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Office of Community Services (OCS). CSBG funds are allocated to Community Action Agencies (CAAs) and other eligible organizations who are responsible for implementing programs and services at the local level. Recipients of CSBG funds are required to meet certain reporting and accountability standards.
The primary report, the CSBG Annual Report, covers the activities, outcomes, and achievements of the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) program for a fiscal year. In addition to this annual reporting requirement, there may be other reporting obligations associated with CSBG funding that occur more frequently depending on specific program initiatives and/or state or local requirements. Some states or local agencies, for example, may have their own reporting requirements for organizations that receive CSBG funding, and these may occur on a different schedule than the federal CSBG Annual Report.
We’ve had the privilege of working with many Community Actions Agencies over the years and our seasoned researchers and experienced CSBG specialist are ready to help you submit your CSBG reports without the headaches and herculean efforts.
